Visit by Dmitry Milyaev, Governor of the Tula Region of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus

At the beginning of the visit, representatives of the Russian region laid flowers at the Victory Monument in Minsk.

Then Dmitry Milyaev met with the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko. During the meeting, they discussed the most promising sectors and areas for the development of cooperation between the Tula Region and the Republic of Belarus.

Dmitry Pantus and Dmitry Milyaev also met with Boris Gryzlov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus, during which the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and identified promising areas for further cooperation.

Within the framework of familiarisation with the industrial complex of Belarus, Dmitry Milyaev, accompanied by SAMI Minister, visited Minsk Tractor Plant (MTP) and Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ).

At MTP the guests from Tula were introduced to the BELARUS range of vehicles, familiarised with its characteristics and had a tour of the tractor assembly building. At MAZ, the delegation was familiarised with the production shop and vehicle assembly line, and at the exhibition site, Aleksei Rimashevsky, General Director of Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant JSC, presented the Neman commuter bus to the head of the Tula Region, spoke about its wide capabilities, rich range of options and advantages compared to other vehicles of a similar class.

In the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus the delegation of the Tula Region and SAMI Minister met with the Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich and discussed new promising points of growth for further progressive development of bilateral cooperation.

Dmitry Milyaev and Dmitry Pantus also attended the match of the 8th round of the preliminary stage of the Russian women’s volleyball championship between the teams “Minchanka” and “Tulitsa”.
