The State Committee for Military Industry demonstrated to the President of the Republic of Belarus the combat capabilities of domestically produced armaments, military and special equipment

On September 24, 2024, at the 230 Combined Arms Training Range ‘Obuz-Lesnovsky’, the combat capabilities of domestically produced armaments, military and special equipment were demonstrated to the Head of State.

Organizations under the State Committee for Military Industry and defense sector enterprises presented over 30 domestically produced military products.

Thirteen organizations under the State Committee for Military Industry and six companies from the defense sector showcased their accomplishments. The primary focus of the event was on domestic unmanned aerial systems (UAS), methods for countering them, and practical demonstrations of their use.

The Chekan V UAS, developed by the 558 Aircraft Repair Plant, is among the new additions to the domestic military industry. This complex successfully completed all tests and was commissioned into service with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in July 2024.

OJSC AGAT - Control Systems introduced the Berkut-3 short-range reconnaissance UAS. The Berkut-3 UAS was commissioned into service with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in March 2024.

JSC Design Bureau 'Display" introduced mass-produced the Kvadro-1400 UAS and Barrage Tube UAS, which were commissioned into service in September 2022, along with its initiative development – the modification of Kvadro-M UAS.

LLC KB Unmanned Helicopters showcased its latest developments, including the Mirotvorets UAS, Askalon UAV, and the updated Hunter reconnaissance and strike UAV.

JSC Peleng presented experimental samples of small-caliber guided aerial weapons for use with various types of UAVs.

The leading enterprise in the development of electronic warfare and reconnaissance equipment, OJSC KB Radar, has introduced new trench-type products to counter UAVs. These include:

- the 'Zvonok' multicopter detector;

- the radically updated radio-electronic gun 'Groza-R2' for combating multicopters;

- 'Fumigator-N' and 'Fumigator-V' blockers of multicopter control and navigation signals;

- the 'Shapel' multicopter signal detector-direction finder;

- the ‘Dronoscope’ multicopter detection and location complex.

Another innovation from OJSC KB Radar is the R-936 (‘Aero’) VHF communication radio monitoring and suppression system.

The presentation to the Head of State showcased the advancements of the State Committee for Defence Industry and highlighted the extensive capabilities of national military industry enterprises in designing and manufacturing a wide range of unmanned aerial systems for various purposes. Additionally, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are promptly integrating domestic developments into service.

A noteworthy accomplishment has been the development of strike unmanned aerial systems, which have become an integral component of modern battlefield operations. These UAS facilitate targeted strikes against the entirety of enemy defenses. Many of the UAS showcased have been proactively developed, with their tactical and technical characteristics continually improved. Consequently, customers are empowered to select the UAS that aligns most effectively with their operational requirements.

With the widespread use of UAVs and the availability of precision munitions on the battlefield, the domestic military industry continues to create and improve electronic warfare equipment. It is essential to have modern and effective electronic warfare equipment, ranging from small to large, in order to successfully counter the challenges of contemporary warfare.

The demonstration once again proved that our country's domestic armaments, military, and special equipment developers can effectively address modern challenges and threats to military security. They play a crucial role in accomplishing combat tasks in today's warfare conditions.
