SAMI Representative Spoke at a Meeting of the CIS Executive Committee’s Expert Group

At the end of October, Moscow hosted a regular meeting of the CIS Executive Committee’s expert group for the development of a draft action plan for the implementation of the second stage of the CIS Economic Development Strategy for the period until 2030. 

The expert group comprised representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and eight CIS member states, including the Republic of Belarus. Vladimir Tsalko, representative of the State Authority for Military Industry, Chairman of the Radio Navigation Interstate Council, took part in the meeting on behalf of Belarus. He made a report on the subject of activities related to the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes and aimed at developing cooperation among the CIS member states in the field of radio navigation. 

Vladimir Tsalko outlined the position of the Belarusian side on its participation in the implementation of the main directions of radio navigation development in the CIS member states until 2030. The report noted the effective participation of Peleng JSC, AGAT – Control Systems JSC – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding in the implementation of joint projects with the Russian side within the framework of the implementation of the Interstate Radio Navigation Programme of the CIS Member States for 2023 – 2026. Vladimir Tsalko also informed the participants of the meeting about the progress in preparation of the draft of the next CIS Interstate Radio Navigation Programme until 2029.

Based on the discussion of the report, it was decided to recommend to the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council to include in the draft plan of implementation of the main directions of radio navigation development in the CIS member states until 2030.
