Prospects of Belarusian-Nicaraguan Military-Technical Cooperation Discussed at Working Group Meeting

On August 7, 2025, a meeting of the joint Belarusian-Nicaraguan working group on military-technical cooperation was hosted by SFTUE Belspetsvneshtechnika. The delegation of the Republic of Belarus was headed by First Deputy Minister of the State Authority for Military Industry (SAMI) Oleg Mishchenko.

The parties held a constructive discussion on key aspects of military-technical cooperation, focusing on exchanging experience and technology and strengthening partnerships between their military-industrial sectors.

Participants confirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation and expressed confidence that the planned initiatives will enhance regional security and stability.

  

As a result of the final meeting of the working group, a protocol was signed to consolidate the agreements reached during the negotiations.

During the visit, the Nicaraguan delegation viewed demonstrations of advanced weapons and military equipment developed by SAMI enterprises. This exposition highlighted the technological capabilities of the Belarusian arms industry and helped identify potential areas for collaboration.

The meeting reaffirmed both countries' commitment to strengthening military-industrial cooperation and created new opportunities for joint initiatives.
