Meeting of the SAMI Minister with the Minister of Agriculture of Uganda
On September 5, 2025, Dmitry Pantus, the Minister of the State Authority for Military Industry (SAMI) and the official assigned to the Republic of Belarus for work with the Republic of Uganda, held a working meeting at SAMI with Bright Rwamirama, the State Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of Uganda.
The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between our countries in joint projects in the field of agricultural technologies and food security, the use of Belarusian agricultural vehicles and their adaptation to the conditions of Uganda, and the supply of agricultural raw materials (cocoa beans, tobacco, and fruit puree) to the Belarusian industry.
Dmitry Pantus emphasised that our country is ready to deepen a mutually beneficial partnership and share experience in the field of comprehensive cooperation, given the significant potential of both states. Uganda, in turn, is an important partner of Belarus in Africa, and the meeting was another step in strengthening bilateral relations. The parties agreed to consider the possibility of organising a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Uganda to conduct detailed negotiations with local agricultural producers.
