We Remember, We Honour, We Are Proud

On May 7, on the eve of Victory Day – a holiday sacred to every Belarusian – employees of the State Authority for Military Industry (SAMI) paid tribute to the heroes who fell during the Great Patriotic War.

Representatives of the central office of SAMI, led by Minister Dmitry Pantus, and the heads of all SAMI enterprises laid a wreath and flowers at the monument by the mass grave of those who died during the Nazi occupation and at the monument to the tank crews who fell during the liberation of the capital.

This event takes place every year and holds deep symbolic significance for the Ministry of Defence. Visiting the sacred sites of military valour is not merely a formal obligation, but an important spiritual need in the life of every SAMI employee.

“We are fully aware that the power of the modern weapons produced by Belarus’s defence industry is inextricably linked to the enduring memory of those who, at the cost of their own lives, secured our freedom and a peaceful sky,” emphasised Dmitry Pantus.
