Unity Tourist Rally Brings Together 17 Teams from Arms Industry Organisations

In late August, the Berezka recreation centre in Osipovichi District hosted the traditional Unity tourist rally among employees of organisations belonging to SAMI. The event was dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory. The organisers were the same as the previous years: the administration and the trade-union committee of the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant JSC (MWTP).

The competition programme comprised more than a dozen events, including volleyball, darts, hiking, cycling, boating, badminton, shooting, a fishing competition and other game events.
Each team had 15 members. The judges kept a close eye on the health of the participants. Failure to comply with health and safety regulations, fire safety rules, water safety rules and refusal to take part in some of the competitions resulted in penalty points. At the same time, the young sportsmen and managers who were particularly active in the competitions got extra bonuses.

The team of MWTP won the general team competition by a clear margin. The second place went to the team of Peleng JSC which was 17 points ahead of the third place winner – the team of 140 (th) Repair Plant. The evidence of the persistent struggle of the participants is the fact that the teams of Display Design Office JSC and AGAT-SYSTEM JSC, which shared fourth place with the same amount of points, were only 1 point behind the third prize winner of the tourist rally.
The sporting event concluded with an awards ceremony for the winning teams in each of the 12 competitions and for the leaders in team rating.
