The rescue radio station R-855A1-406 is certified by the COSPAS – SARSAT Secretariat

Tekhnika Svyazi JSC received a certificate of standard approval from the COSPAS – SARSAT Secretariat (Montreal, Canada) for the R-855A1-406 aircraft emergency rescue portable radio station. This document confirms that the product complies with the technical requirements of the international satellite search and rescue system COSPAS – SARSAT.

A positive assessment provides Tekhnika Svyazi JSC with the right to sell R-855A1-406 radio stations, which are designed to equip aircraft with the purpose of transmitting distress signals in emergency situations at frequencies used in the COSPAS-SARSAT international satellite search and rescue system and providing delivery to the accident site of search and rescue means.

Today, the COSPAS – SARSAT system provides search and rescue (SAR) authorities with emergency messages and location information for distressed marine, aviation and land users around the world, and the organisation itself unites 45 states.
