On 19-21 February, a delegation of the Serbian armed forces led by Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin was on an official visit to Belarus.
The Serbian military delegation visited 558 Aircraft Repair Plant JSC (558 ARP). First Deputy Minister of SAMI Igor Demidenko and Aleksandar Vulin met there and discussed areas of military-technical cooperation.
The guests got acquainted with the possibilities of creating new models of military products at 558 ARP, modernisation and repair of aviation equipment there, as well as of Serbian MiG-29 aircraft. Foreign military personnel remained satisfied with what they saw.
“When the repair of our aircraft is completed, I’m sure, we will be able to say that we receive aircraft that have a significantly extended service life, and they can protect our air for a long time. The modernisation process is carried out simultaneously. Everything that needs to be installed on our aircraft is prepared in advance, all actions are in accordance with the deadlines, we are very satisfied with the quality of the work carried out here,” said Aleksandar Vulin.
