State Tests of the T-72BM2 Tank Continue

State tests of the T-72BM2 tank prototype, developed by specialists of
140 (th) Repair Plant (one of the leading SAMI companies) are taking place at the 230th combined-arms training ground of the Western Operational Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus as part of the research and development work.

The purpose of the tests is to assess the compliance of the submitted sample with the requirements of the tactical and technical assignment. In accordance with the programme developed by specialists of the Armoured Vehicles Directorate of the Ministry of Defence, the declared characteristics were tested both in daytime and at night.

The T-72BM2 tank as a promising product for the Belarusian Army was presented to the head of state in October 2022 during his visit to the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground.
