Space Unites

A delegation from the Myanmar Space Agency, led by Mya Than, Deputy Chief Executive Director, visited “Belintersat”. The visit took place within the framework of the scientific and technical partnership between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Myanmar Space Agency (MSA). The relevant memorandum of cooperation was signed in June 2025.

During the meeting, the head of the delegation, Mya Than, noted the high potential of MSA in developing cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in the space sector, and outlined a course for strengthening mutually beneficial bilateral relations in the field of space development, including cooperation in the preparation and conduct of joint scientific events.

The delegation familiarised itself with the work of the Belarusian satellite communications and broadcasting system Belintersat. The main focus was on the prospects for using Belarusian satellite technologies in the field of communications and broadcasting in Myanmar. The MSA representatives were given a tour of the ground control system, during which the foreign guests familiarised themselves with the technologies used to monitor and control the spacecraft. Particular attention was paid to the software and hardware solutions that ensure the smooth operation of the system.
