Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Familiarises Himself with Progress of Modernisation of MiG-29s at Baranovichi Aircraft Repair Plant
In mid-August, Baranovichi-based 558 Aircraft Repair Plant JSC hosted a meeting between Igor Demidenko, First Deputy Minister of State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus, and General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, who led the country’s military delegation.
The parties discussed current and future military-technical cooperation. The guests also familiarised themselves with the progress of modernisation of the MiG-29 aircraft for the Serbian Air Force, as well as with capabilities of the Belarusian companies to repair and upgrade aircraft, manufacture new models of products, including unmanned aerial vehicles.
558 Aircraft Repair Plant JSC noted that the execution of the contract for the repair of four MiG-29s for Serbia is proceeding as planned according to the production schedule. The work is to be completed in the 1st quarter of 2020.
