Particular Attention to Quality

On 31 March 2016, the 140th Repair Plant hosted a technical seminar on quality management system in Goscomvoyenprom companies. The seminar was led by Head of the Goscomvoyenprom Industrial Development Section Vyacheslav Rossolai.
Representatives of Goscomvoyenprom thoroughly analysed complaints received in 2015 by its companies in terms of origin of defects and examples of weapons and special equipment, discussed reasons for malfunctions (defects) in the course of product use and developed proposals on improving product quality and performance properties.
During the seminar it was noted that the companies had taken measures on eliminating all identified defects and malfunctions, and additional design solutions were being incorporated to improve the performance of systems and components.
Chief QA engineers who were invited to participate in the seminar, shared their experiences of using technological equipment and familiarised themselves with advanced technologies and equipment used for surface preparation and application of high-quality paint coatings during the presentation of capabilities of the Jotun company, the world’s leading manufacturer of paints, corrosion-resistant and fire-retardant coatings.
During the training session held in an assembly shop of the 140th Repair Plant, the participants were able to assess the level of quality assurance in armoured vehicles repair, surface preparation and application of paint coatings on hulls, units and components, as well as familiarised themselves with material used for this purpose.
