Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant JSC and JSC UEC-Klimov Signed a Mutually Beneficial Agreement

At the International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia, held on 20-22 May 2021 in Moscow, Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant JSC and the Russian company UEC -Klimov signed an agreement, according to which the Belarusian company will carry out medium maintenance of helicopter engines, supply special equipment, spare parts, parts and assemblies. In addition to areas for overhauls, residents of Orsha will also provide  maitenance staff to accompany the work.

Earlier, in February 2021, UEC-Klimov and Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant signed a cooperation agreement and a roadmap for the implementation of a project to organise a service centre on the basis of the Belarusian enterprise.

Before signing a new agreement, the specialists of JSC UEC-Klimov conducted a preliminary inspection of the plant’s premises. As a result of the visit, the possibility of performing medium repairs of helicopter engines at Orsha enterprise was confirmed.

Executive Director of UEC-Klimov Alexander Vatagin noted: “It is important for us to provide high-quality support for our engines in operation, because flights safety depends on this. With the help of our colleagues, we will be able to cover fully the needs of the Republic of Belarus in the medium repair of helicopter engines and build an effective system for their service, which allows us to maintain the air worthiness of the helicopter fleet.”

This project once again confirms that the brand “Klimov” is not only the production and sale of engines, but also the constant all-round support of the operators, the efficiency of work and economic efficiency. Medium repair of helicopter engines performed by Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant JSC will make it possible to maintain the operational state of the Belarusian fleet of helicopters with engines developed by UEC-Klimov at a lower cost.
