Organisers Dedicate Fifth Outdoor Event Involving Goscomvoyenprom Companies to the Science Year

The fifth corporate outdoor event Unity involving the employees of Goscomvoyenprom companies took place from 21 to 23 August in one of the most picturesque corners of Belarus – on the shore of the Osipovichi Reservoir.
About 250 people representing 12 Goscomvoyenprom companies, namely AGAT-Control Systems, the 2566 Radioelectronic Armament Repair Plant, the 558 Aircraft Repair Plant, the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, the 140 Repair Plant, the Display design bureau, Peleng, VOLATAVTO, the AGAT-Electromechanical Plant, Belspetsvneshtechnika, AGAT-SYSTEM and MNIPI, as well as ATOMTEX gathered at the Beryozka recreation centre of the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant on the penultimate weekend of August.
First Deputy Chairman of Goscomvoyenprom Igor Demidenko and a number of heads of participating companies visited the event on the opening day.
Over the course of three days, the teams identified the best in 10 nominations defined by the competition programme, demonstrating abilities in creative, sports and tourist competitions – hiking, boating, cycling, relay races, air rifle shooting competitions, volleyball, darts and gorodki, as well as the fishing competition.
One of the highlights was the Introduce Yourself competition, which this year was dedicated to the Year of Science announced in the country by the decree of the Belarusian President. The teams were able to fully reveal and demonstrate their creativity in the original genre, songs, choreography and theatrical productions on the topic “The Year of Science in the Company”.
For the second consecutive year, the team of the 2566 Radioelectronic Armament Repair Plant was recognised as the absolute winner. The team of the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (a winner in 2013 and 2015) won second place. The team of the 140 Repair Plant took third place.
Yet the rewards are not the main thing. The atmosphere of a corporate spirit and sports rivalry is important here, as well as the confidence that the participants will again meet in the same place next year.
