New Goscomvoyenprom Chairman Introduced to Committee Staff and Directors Corps

Introducing newly appointed Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee (Goscomvoyenprom) Oleg Dvigalev to the leadership, heads of Goscomvoyenprom’s departments and heads of Goscomvoyenprom companies on 24 July, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko noted his productive work and professional and managerial abilities and wished Oleg Dvigalev success in a new, very responsible and significant position, effective work on further equipping the Belarusian Armed Forces with cutting-edge weapons and military equipment and further increasing the production of defence products that are competitive on foreign markets.

“You know what the Armed Forces need and in what areas of arms development it is necessary to move forward,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Mikhail Puzikov, Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council, noted that Oleg Dvigalev has deep knowledge in the military field and some experience in contracting; he is distinguished by his ability to work effectively with large groups of people in the performance of assigned tasks, which will certainly contribute to his work in the new position.

“You did not come to the ruined economy, the defence industry achieved certain results, which we must increase, show positive dynamics,” Mikhail Puzikov stressed.

In addition, the Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council dwelled on a number of current and prospective tasks, which in the near future will need to be addressed both by the Chairman of Goscomvoyenprom and the entire staff of the committee.

Oleg Dvigalev thanked for the confidence shown in him and assured that all traditions and positive initiatives laid by his predecessors would be continued, and the priorities would be given an impetus for further development.
