New Communications Equipment Transfer to Troops

At the end of November 2021, the presentation of modern communications equipment and complexes took place in the 60th separate communications regiment of the Belarusian Armed Forces. The certificates of new R-434, R-414MBRP, R-409MB-1 radio relay stations were handed over to personnel by the Commander of the North-Western Operational Command Major General Alexander Naumenko, the Chief of Signals, Chief of the Signals Directorate of the General Staff Major General Oleg Mishchenko and the Director of AGAT - Electromechanical Plant JSC Nikolai Baligatov.

“Signal troops are on standby and must keep up not only with the times, but also ahead of them. Today we have a unique opportunity to demonstrate this in practice,” said Major General Oleg Mishchenko. “Advanced models of weapons and military equipment have high quality characteristics and are able to complete the assigned task in the shortest time. But whatever the weapons and military equipment, the main success of their use and operation is people. I am sure that the personnel will master the new equipment as soon as possible and demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the exercises.”

Much attention is paid to the issues of retrofitting the signal troops with advanced weapons. The development of the communications system and troops is inextricably linked with the activities of domestic developers. Experience has shown that the means of communications established in our country are not inferior to world analogues. The director of AGAT – Electromechanical Plant JSC Nikolai Baligatov underlined this in the statement. And the commander of the communications line battalion Major Yevgeny Tereshko assured the audience that the equipment entrusted to the unit is in good hands.

“Today, of course, is an important event in the framework of the construction and development of the Armed Forces. No fulfillment of a task, no operation can succeed without control. Communications and trained personnel are one of the main components of management,” said Major General Alexander Naumenko. “We received not only new equipment, but taking into account its capabilities, we managed to reduce the size of one of the units, forming a line battalion. According to its capabilities, it performs tasks much more efficiently and has more serious capabilities than the previous unit.”
