MZKT-500200 Chassis Receives Performance and Ergonomic Improvements

At the International Army Games during the Masters of Artillery Fire 2015 competition, which was held from 3 to 13 August at the range of the 631st regional training centre of the rocket troops and artillery in Saratov region (Russia), the MZKT-500200 all-wheel drive 4×4 vehicle, which is based on a serial chassis and was modified for transporting the Sani mortar crew, ammunition and weapons, amazed experts with its maneuverability and reliability.
After the international competition, Volat carefully analysed malfunctions that occurred, as well as carried out necessary adjustments.
To ensure reliable and long-term operation on bad roads or off-road, the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant reinforced a frame and platform of the MZKT-500200 vehicle. As a result, a length of the platform increased to 6,000 mm, and a kerb weight of the vehicle increased to 6,400 kg. The improved MZKT-500200 cabin received additional ergonomic features. The vehicle now has additional storage space for personal belongings, documentation and tools, as well as mounting brackets for small arms.
