Minsk Hosts First Meeting of Belarus-Pakistan Commission for Military-Technical Cooperation
From 5 to 12 August 2015, a delegation of the Pakistan Ministry of Defence Production led by Federal Minister of Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain was on a visit to Belarus. The delegation members took part in the first meeting of the Joint Belarus-Pakistan Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation and visited a number of Belarusian defence companies, where they familiarised themselves with the companies’ capabilities for development and production of military products.
Chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulyov met with the head of the Pakistan delegation before the Commission meeting took place.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the development of bilateral military-technical cooperation and specified the priorities for joint work in the near future.
On 11 August during the first meeting of the Belarus-Pakistan Commission for Military-Technical Cooperation the parties considered the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation signed in Islamabad on 29 May 2015 and discussed the implementation of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a final protocol.
