KB Display Completes Certification of Special-Purpose Computers for Compatibility with Russian Astra Linux Special Edition Operating System
Special-purpose computers produced by KB Display have been certified for compatibility with Astra Linux Special Edition operating system (release “Smolensk”).
In compliance with the partnership agreement between the Russian RusBITech Research and Production Association JSC, Astra Linux Special Edition operating system manufacturer, and the Belarusian KB Display JSC, the Vitebsk-based company can provide the supply of the manufactured special-purpose computers with the licensed Astra Linux Special Edition operating system.
The release “Smolensk” of Astra Linux Special Edition operating system is developed and certified by the Russian Federal Security Service, Federal Service for Technical and Export Control, Ministry of Defence and has been phased in by the defence establishment since 2013. Thus, it is intended to be operated with computers with the x86-64 processor architecture.
The applying of Astra Linux Special Edition operating system is an effective solution for the construction of an ICT infrastructure that meets special requirements of data security, as well as information constituting state secrets including “Top Secret” category and other privileged information under its processing in information systems and automated control systems.
KB Display is authorised to use a conformity mark while manufacturing its computers with Astra Linux Special Edition operating system.
