Kazan Hosts 16th Meeting of Belarus-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation

The 16th session of the Belarus-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation was held in the city of Kazan (Russia) at the Kazan Helicopter Plant from 29 September to 1 October 2015.
The delegation of Belarusian defence companies was led by Chairman of the Belarusian part of the commission, First Deputy Chairman of Goscomvoyenprom Igor Bykov.
The parties discussed 18 issues concerning the state and prospects of bilateral military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia, as well considered the implementation of current projects and identified promising projects of cooperation in the military-technical sphere for the 2015-2016 period.
At the meeting, the commission also discussed the implementation of existing legislation and further improvement of the regulatory framework for bilateral military-technical cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, chairmen of the national parts of the Belarus-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation signed a final protocol, which defines the perspective lines of bilateral military-technical cooperation and specifies the ways of implementing the current projects.
