Indestructible Brotherhood – Inviolable Borders

A display of new and upgraded weapon systems and military and special equipment that can be employed by peacekeeping forces was held on 22 August at the 230th training range in the Brest region within the framework of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces joint exercise Indestructible Brotherhood 2016.
About 10 Goscomvoyenprom and defence sector companies, as well as military units and departments of the Defence Ministry showcased about 100 examples of weapons and military and special equipment.
The participants familiarised themselves with fire weapons, unmanned aircraft and robotic systems, means of mobility, optical-electronic sighting and surveillance systems, communication systems, including mobile ones, special equipment, individual equipment, including body armour systems, as well as medical, geodetic and navigation equipment.
In particular, Goscomvoyenprom companies showcased:
·       The Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant: tactical vehicles on the MZKT-6001 chassis – the MZKT-500200 4×4 vehicle with a reinforced frame and platform for reliable and long-term operation on bad roads and off-road, and MZKT-600203 8×8 fitted with the Allison 4500SP automatic transmission and Caterpillar C13 engine
·       AGAT-Control Systems, the management company of the Geoinformation Control Systems Holding: the Robot-A1 robotic system and the Berkut-1 tactical short-range unmanned aircraft system, which is designed to perform monitoring in a given area and produce a real-time photo, thermal and TV image of the area, search and detect ground (surface) objects and determine their coordinates, as well as provide automated support of designated ground (surface) objects and deliver real-time reconnaissance data
·       The 140 Repair Plant: the Caiman armoured vehicle, which was highly appraised after being used in the CIS anti-terrorist exercise Cyber-Antiterror 2016, which was held in early June at the Lukoml State District Power Plant, Vitebskenergo, under the auspices of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Centre
·       AGAT-SYSTEM: a number of communication systems developed under the State Programme approved by President’s Decree No. 420. They include a range of VHF radio stations, the TA-10 field IP-phone, which can simultaneously operate via both an analogue telephone line and a digital line using Ethernet and/or SHDSL, as well as the P-195 field telephone switch, which is the link between analogue and digital voice communications and provides conversion to digital format of all voice traffic and transmission of information using Ethernet and SHDSL
All the examples of weapon systems and military and special equipment have been tested or are undergoing tests and included in the inventory of the Belarusian Armed Forces in 2011-2016, purchased or planned to be purchased by the Defence Ministry to enhance the combat effectiveness of weapon systems.
