Implementation of CIS Interstate Radio Navigation Programme Summed Up in Astana

A meeting of national state customers of the Interstate Radio Navigation Programme of the CIS member states for the period until 2016 (MRP-2016) was held in Astana, Kazakhstan at the Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary company from 28 February to 1 March 2017.
Belarus was represented by Alexander Ivanov, a representative of the national state customer of the MRP-2016.
The participants summed up the implementation of the MRP-2016 and harmonised their actions to support the project of the next MRP-2020.
Following the discussion of the issues under consideration, the parties took note of the completion of works on the MRP-2016 by each of the national state customers and noted that, in accordance with the list of activities on the MRP-2016, a total of 13 assignments had been carried out, including five research and eight development projects. The achieved results will be used in the implementation of the new MRP-2020 and other development projects in the countries participating in the programme.
The Belarusian side for the first time in the history of implementing the previous interstate radio navigation programmes came up with an initiative, prepared and handed over to national state customers (the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Defence and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation) lists of solutions that were developed by Belarusian companies in the implementation of the MRP-2016 and are offered for joint use and commercialisation on the basis of contracts with contractors.
The solutions include a navigation and timing support system for the region (industry) and an information support system for agricultural production (developed by AGAT-Control Systems, management company of the Geoinformation Control Systems Holding), a system for monitoring displacements of potentially dangerous objects and an individual radio monitoring device (developed by the Minsk Watch Plant), and other results of scientific and technological activities.
Making such lists and selling the manufactured products became possible due to the Agreement between the State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on principles of protection and distribution of intellectual property rights in trilateral cooperation under the Interstate Radio Navigation Programme of the CIS member states for the period until 2016.
In addition, the sides held talks on the development of pulse-phase radio navigation systems, according to which a number of practical measures have been planned for the coming months.
The next meeting of national state customers of the Interstate Radio Navigation Programme is scheduled to take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 31 May 2017.
