Igor Demidenko Appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee

Igor Demidenko was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee (Goscomvoyenprom). A relevant decree was signed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on 21 December 2016. Prior to his new appointment, Igor Demidenko was the head of the Main Military Inspection, Belarusian Armed Forces since December 2014.
On 26 December, introducing the newly appointed first deputy chairman to the leadership, heads of Goscomvoyenprom’s departments and heads of Goscomvoyenprom companies, Goscomvoyenprom Chairman Sergei Gurulev noted Igor Demidenko’s professional and organisational skills and wished him success in his new position on the coordination of national administrative bodies’ activities in developing the state armament programme, forming the state defence order, implementing the state policy in the field of navigation and regulation of experimental aviation, as well as in the coordination of efforts in the development and upgrade of weapon systems.
