Goscomvoyenprom’s Delegation Attends International Airshow Eurasia 2018

From 23 to 27 April 2018, the delegation of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee (Goscomvoyenprom) led by Deputy Chairman Dmitry Pantus attended the First International Airshow Eurasia 2018.
Eurasia 2018 was held in Turkey for the first time ever. The events within the framework of the airshow were organised under the patronage of the Turkish President Administration.
The exhibition covered a total area of 300,000 square metres and showcased more than 100 aircraft, as well as products of 400 foreign companies. More than 150 delegations from 100 countries attended the event.
The Belarusian delegation visited the exhibition displays of arms developers and manufacturers of Turkey, Russia, Qatar, the United Kingdom, the United States, France and other countries.
Deputy Chairman of Goscomvoyenprom Dmitry Pantus, who led the Belarusian delegation, held a series of meetings and talks with the heads of foreign delegations, leaders and representatives of companies participating in the airshow. During the meetings, specific areas of possible cooperation with Belarusian defence companies were discussed in detail.
During the visit, separate meetings were held with Turkish Minister of National Defence Nurettin Canikli and Turkish Undersecretary for Defence Industries Dr. Ismail Demir. The parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues with an emphasis on deepening military-technical cooperation, including within the framework of the Joint Belarusian-Turkish Committee’s activities on the implementation of the Belarusian-Turkish intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in defence industry.
