Goscomvoyenprom Decides on Winners of Best Website Open Competition

The Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee (Goscomvoyenprom) announced the results of the Best Website open competition that was held from September 1 to December 11, 2017 among Goscomvoyenprom companies.
In the open competition took part about 25 organisations, including five military companies (Svyazinvest, MMW named after S.I.Vavilov – Managing Company of BelOMO Holding, the DELS Scientific and Technical Centre, Midivisana LLS and Monitor-Service Unitary Enterprise).
The main aims of the competition are the definition of the most technologically refined and informative websites, fostering the implementation of advanced network technologies in various fields of organisations' activities, including the effective use of the web marketing tools to position and promote products, works and services to foreign markets; search for the best strategies, methods and business models for using the Internet to meet the information needs of a foreign target audience; assistance to the development of the Belarusian Internet segment as an area for professional activities.
On 20 December 2017, the competition jury, consisting of representatives from the directorates of Goscomvoyenprom central office, as well as a number of Internet companies and web designers analysed the monitoring results and estimated the websites on eight criteria.
Independent experts and analysts from Edulab web studio, Smart IT Development (private company), NK-Star web agency and inAweb and Seobility marketing agencies joined the competition jury to deliver a professional judgment regarding the websites.
The competition allowed eliminating significant drawbacks of the Goscomvoyenprom companies’ websites, improving their performance, refining the skills of the specialists supporting these sites, as well as popularising best Internet resources owned by Goscomvoyenprom companies and included in the Belarusian sector of the global network.
The order of Goscomvoyenprom, dated January 10, 2018, approved the results of the competition and announced the winners in the following categories: “The best website of a special exporter organisation” — the Belspetsvneshtechnika State-owned Foreign Trade Unitary Enterprise; “The best website of an industrial organisation” —
140 Repair Plant; “The best website of a scientific and production (scientific) organisation” — KB Radar — Managing Company of Radar Systems Holding; “The best website of an organisation of the defence sector of the Belarusian economy” — the MMW named after S.I.Vavilov — Managing Company of BelOMO Holding.
By a special decision, the jury awarded the website of Belspetsvneshtekhnika a challenge prize.
Within the framework of the board meeting, a ceremony of awarding the competition winner and laureates was held. Chairman of Goscomvoyenprom Oleg Dvigalev handed winners’ certificates and the challenge prize to the heads of the organisations whose websites were named winners in their categories.
Organisers are planning to continue the practice of holding the Best Website open competition in 2018 as well. Belarusian defence companies of different types of ownership and departmental affiliation will be able to participate in the planned event.
