Display’s New Solutions

The Display design bureau has successfully completed testing the PK-51M panel computers, launched mass production and started to supply them to customers. The product is a modification of the existing panel computers with an extended area of application.

The main features of the product include the backlight for a liquid crystal display (LCD), which allows reaching a minimum brightness variance within the display area (resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels) and a maximum brightness of 600 cd/m². Due to this, the screen features the reflection coefficient of not more than 2%, and the luminance contrast under ambient light of 75,000 lux is not less than 3:1.

The PK-51M features the 2.5 GHz Intel®mobile Core ™ i7 processor and two solid-state drives (SSD). Operational temperature range is from -40 to +55°C, and maximum temperature range is from -50 to +70°C. The PK-51M can operate under 2 g sinusoidal vibration from 1 to 500 Hz, as well as 15 g mechanical shock from 1 to 5 ms without the shock absorbers.

The Vitebsk-based company has completed one more development and produced samples of the MDTs-054E avionic LCD display module for avionic projection indicator, which enjoys unique specifications:

colour of luminescence – green, with dominant wavelength of 525 nm;

very high brightness – not less than 5,000 сd/m²;

non-standard size of active display area – 106 x 85 mm with resolution of 658 x 820 pixels. The size was achieved by the patented technology of LCD cutting;

unique constructive solution of conductive heat transfer to the back surface of the module (dissipated power is not more than 70W at maximum brightness);

unique scheme of led-driver’s backlight provides high power of backlight, wide range of brightness regulation (not less than 2,000:1), high efficiency.

The MDTs-054E can operate under external influences specified in groups 3.1.2, 3.2.3 and 3.3.3 according to GOST RV 20.39.304-98.
