Display Design Bureau Masters Ruggedisation of Displays for Use in Arctic Regions
The Display Design Bureau has mastered the technology for ruggedising liquid-crystal matrices, which allowed the company to productionise displays operating at low temperatures (working temperature is up to -50°C, limit temperature is up to -65°C). This is especially important for arctic environments.
The warm-up time for displaying dynamic (animated) image by the criterion of response time is from 5 to 20 minutes. This indicator is one of the important parameters of modern special equipment, since at low operating temperatures due to increased viscosity of liquid crystals in an LCD display, the Response Time parameter, which determines the ability to display dynamic (animated) image, deteriorates significantly.
The company has currently carried out an upgrade of manufactured video monitors to ensure their operation at low temperatures.
One of the key activities of the Display Design Bureau is the production of display devices, including multi-purpose video monitors that can be operated in motion (on-the-move operation) and in marine environments. The company designed and productionised more than 90 kinds of LCD video monitors with screen sizes from 6.5″ to 46″.
