Display Design Bureau Is Long-Standing Exhibitor at INTERPOLITEX

The 20th anniversary international exhibition of security equipment INTERPOLITEX 2016 was held in Moscow at Russia’s main exhibition centre, VDNKh, from 18 to 21 October 2016.
According to experts, the exhibition has a major influence on the placement of specialised state orders and implementation of a number of Russia’s federal target programmes.
The largest security equipment exhibition in the CIS attracted more than 460 exhibitors, including 57 companies and arms manufacturers from 11 countries, that have a real ability to fulfil their obligations reliably, in full, on time and, most importantly, with appropriate quality. Russian and other foreign companies showcased more than a thousand innovative products.
Belarus was represented by five companies of various departmental affiliations – Plant Santex, Kamvol, Display Design Bureau, Scientific and Production Centre of Multipurpose Unmanned Systems of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, and Plant Optic.
The presentation of various products, including new ones, development of partnerships with existing customers, searching for new suppliers and customers – this is not a complete list of tasks the Belarusian companies wished to accomplish at the exhibition.
Display Design Bureau, which is a company of Goscomvoyenprom, demonstrated about 30 promising information display and processing systems.
A new product on display was the 98″ (248 cm) ULTRA HD (3840 × 2160) video monitor VM-980. The monitor, which is designed for use in automated control systems and information systems for equipping command posts and control rooms, as well as an independent system, was announced at the Army 2016 international forum held in early September in Moscow Region.
The VM-980 can be used in stationary and mobile applications. The system can operate in a temperature range of -40 to +50ºC and high humidity (up to 98%). The device has an HDMI connection. Maximum power consumption is 600 W.
Another new product of the Vitebsk-based company is the PC-550 all-weather computer and video monitor with a stand fitted with an electric drive. The system is a 55″ tablet computer with the multi-touch screen based on the infrared touch panel. It is designed to operate in extreme conditions (temperature range of -30 to +60ºC) and withstands high dynamic loads and humidity and operates as a high-performance computer. The system can be operated with gloves on.
In addition, Display Design Bureau demonstrated a new line of video monitors for industrial use.
The new products include a microdisplay system built into tactical goggles, and enclosed-type monocular optical system combined with a protective mask. They are designed for Emergency Situations Ministry and Interior Ministry services and special operations forces and allow servicemen to orientate themselves in low-light and smoke conditions.
The company also showcased the special-purpose 15″ UPC-150 unified panel computer.
The UPC-150 is designed for operation in automated control systems, as well as a separate device for information processing and display. It can be used in mobile sea- and land-based facilities and operated on the move.
It is worth noting that the company’s exhibition stand was attended by representatives of a number of Russian and foreign companies – Eliot, NPO NIIIP-NZiK, Moshe Fudim and others.
Negotiations held during the exhibition will contribute to establishing close business contacts with potential customers that provide the groundwork for reaching specific agreements to organise joint projects and increase volumes of production supplied to the Russian market. The Russian partners have already expressed their interest in ruggedised large-format monitors and special-purpose panel computers.
