On 11-12 October 2017, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko visited a number of Goscomvoyenprom enterprises and defence companies located in Minsk and the Minsk Region.
Directors of the Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials, OKB TSP and the Group of Manufacturing Technologies and Aeronautical Engineering Aeromash reported to Vladimir Semashko about the production structure, financial and economic condition and development prospects of their enterprises.
It was noted that enterprises have sufficient scientific and research capabilities, material and technical resources and production facilities for the development of science-intensive products of special purpose and dual application.
Particular attention was paid to the further development of the material and technical resources, production ramp-up plans, creation and introduction into production of advanced products for the new generation of military and special equipment, as well as supporting projects for the development and production of advanced unmanned aircraft systems.
In particular, the following topical issues were discussed: prospects for creating and developing the material and technical facilities for mass production of socially significant medical products, possibility of pilot production of MEMS sensors, including those for automotive engineering, as well as the development of specialised microwave monolithic integrated circuits for a new generation of military and special equipment at the Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials.
Vladimir Semashko tasked Goscomvoyenprom and the Industry Ministry with working out the corresponding set of measures by the end of this year.
