Belarusian-Serbian Military-Technical Cooperation Has Good Prospects

A Belarusian delegation headed by Roman Golovchenko, Minister of State Authority for Military Industry, was on a visit to Serbia on 24–25 June 2019. The delegation attended the 9th International Armament and Military Equipment Fair PARTNER 2019. The event gathered 128 exhibitors from 22 countries. Our country was represented by a recognised leader in optical instrumentation – BelOMO Holding, which demonstrated its high-tech smart sights.
The opening ceremony was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who met with Roman Golovchenko on the sidelines of the Belgrade arms exhibition. The Serbian President particularly noted the strategic nature of Belarusian-Serbian relations and good prospects for their development.
Roman Golovchenko met with Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and his Assistant for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, as well as with Jugoslav Petković, director of Yugoimport, the Serbian largest defence company, which celebrated its 70th anniversary.
The parties discussed a wide range of military-technical cooperation issues, exchanged specific proposals for further enhancing cooperation, and identified promising areas of mutually beneficial partnership.
