Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko Meets with Goscomvoyenprom Chairman

On 26 September, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko met with Chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee ( Goscomvoyenprom) Sergei Gurulev. Alexander Lukashenko took a detailed interest in the situation in the country’s military industrial complex. They discussed already ongoing projects and future plans of the Goscomvoyenprom companies. Particular attention was paid to the economic situation of the Belarusian military industrial complex. The Goscomvoyenprom companies have in creased their exports almost twofold over the past five years. Return on sales in industry amounted to almost 19%, and industrial production growth rate in current prices increased by 1.5 times over the last year alone. The President gave a number of specifi c tasks on further development of this sphere.
