Belarus is extending its presence in Southeast Asia

From 5 to 8 November, the Indo Defence 2014 Expo & Forum was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event attracted arms producers from 45 countries. The largest expositions were presented by Indonesia (116 companies), the United States (57 companies) and Singapore (32 companies). Unlike in previous years, Ukrainian arms producers did not participate in the exhibition.

The Belarusian exposition was arranged by Belspetsvneshtechnika. The Display design bureau, MZKT, the Radar design bureau, the 558th Aircraft Repair Plant, Virtual Technologies, LEMT BelOMO and Minotor-Service demonstrated their products at the joint stand. The delegation of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Commit tee was headed by Oleg Morozov, deput y chairman of the committee.

The Belarusian companies provided the participants and visitors with the information about their cutting-edge solutions, including those about optronic systems, C4ISRs, simulators, electronic warfare systems, radars. The companies also demonstrated mock-ups of weapons and military equipment as well as capabilities for their upgrade, repair and maintenance.

The Indonesian defence minister and representatives of the Indonesian Army, Air Force, Marine Corps and National Police visited the Belarusian joint stand. A number of contracts were signed during the exhibition. In our opinion, we have achieved the tasks
