Belarus, China Keep Promoting Bilateral Ties
On 13 May 2014 Sergei Gurulyov, chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee (Goscomvoyenprom), met with Liu Sheng, deputy head of the General Armaments Department, People's Liberation Army of China. The two officials held talks within the framework of the official visit to Belarus of a Chinese military delegation, led by Liu Sheng.
At the meeting, Sergei Gurulyov noted that after the Belarusian president's visit to China in summer 2013 the relations between our nations have reached a new level of comprehensive strategic partnership, which opens up new vistas for Belarus and China. "I am sure this visit will give a new boost to the development of cooperation and friendship between China and Belarus," said the chairman of Goscomvoyenprom.
The two sides highly estimated the achievements in bilateral military-technical cooperation, which is an important evidence of strategic relations between our countries. They also discussed promising lines of collaboration and expressed mutual interest in promoting the ties.
During the visit of the Belarusian prime-minister to China, the parties signed a cooperation roadmap for 2014–2018, stipulating the actions to be taken in the key areas of collaboration, including the military-technical one.
