Belarus and Vietnam Compare Notes and Discuss Defence Cooperation Vistas

From 17 through 20 November 2018, Minsk hosted the 17th session of the Mixed Belarusian-Vietnamese Commission for Military-Technical Cooperation.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Roman Golovchenko, Chairman of our country’s State Military Industrial Committee, who also presided over the Belarusian part of the commission.
The Vietnamese delegation was led by Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Deputy Minister of National Defence and head of the Vietnamese part of the commission.
In a friendly atmosphere, the participants exchanged their opinions on all aspects of the countries’ collaboration in defence sphere.
The parties discussed the results of implementing the agreements, which had been achieved at the 16th session of the commission in line with the 2018 Plan of Joint Defence Cooperation Activities between the Belarusian Military Industrial Committee and the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence and the Programme of military-technical cooperation between the two organisations for 2016–2020. The two sides also approved the Plan of Joint Defence Cooperation Activities for 2019.
