Belarus and Peru Note Positive Dynamics in Development of Military-Technical Cooperation

On 20 February 2018, Chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee Oleg Dvigalev met with General Javier Ramirez Guillen, Peruvian Air Force Commander. The meeting was attended by the Peruvian delegation members and the representatives of the Belarusian defence companies.
In the course of the meeting, the achieved results and positive dynamics in the development of military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Peru have been outlined, as well as promising projects of this cooperation have been discussed.
Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in further military-technical cooperation in a wide range of areas.
During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the production facilities of 558 Aircraft Repair Plant JSC, aviation equipment repair and modernisation technologies, as well as production of unmanned aircraft systems and aviation components.
To date, there is an agreement on military-technical cooperation between the two countries, signed on 20 October 2011 in Minsk and ratified on 13 July 2012 (the Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 423-З of 13 July 2012 “On Ratification of the Agreement on Military-Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Peru”), which is the most important legal document that determines the main guidelines and modalities of cooperation in this area between the two countries.
