Belarus and Myanmar Identify Areas for Further Development of Military-Technical Cooperation

The 11th meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Myanmar Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) was held in Minsk from 27 to 29 September 2018.
The Belarusian part of the Commission was headed by First Deputy Chairman of Goscomvoyenprom Maj. Gen. Igor Demidenko. Deputy Minister of Defence Rear Admiral Myint Nwe led the Myanmar part of the Commission.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Myanmar and noted that the interaction between the two countries is of a planned systemic nature. They also confirmed their mutual interest in the development of bilateral military-technical cooperation.
Chairman of the Belarusian part of the Commission Maj. Gen. Igor Demidenko invited the Myanmar side to visit the 9th International Military Exhibition MILEX 2019.
During the meeting, the parties analysed the current state of projects, discussed the implementation of the measures outlined in the final protocol of the previous meeting, discussed promising bilateral military-technical cooperation projects and determined the procedure for their further implementation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a protocol.
