Belarus and China Develop Armaments Cooperation

On September 27-29, 2017, the first meeting of the joint working group of the Belarusian-Chinese Coordinating Committee for Armaments Cooperation was held in Minsk.
The Belarusian side was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee Dmitry Pantus and the Chinese side was led by Senior Colonel Fan Jianjun, Head of the Equipment and Technology Cooperation Department of the Equipment Development Department, the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the decisions of the Committee’s 14th meeting held in China in October 2016, and agreed on the Regulations on the Joint Working Group of the mentioned Committee.
During the Chinese delegation’s visit, Chairman of Goscomvoyenprom Oleg Dvigalev held a series of meetings with Senior Colonel Fan Jianjun and President of China Great Wall Industry Corporation Yin Liming. The parties exchanged views on the results and prospects of joint military-technical cooperation projects.
As a result of the work, the Belarusian and Chinese parties expressed their satisfaction and positively assessed the results of bilateral cooperation achieved by joint efforts and identified further steps to develop military-technical cooperation between Belarus and China.
