Belarus and Uganda Identify Promising Areas of Mutually Beneficial Military-Technical Cooperation

A military delegation of Uganda visited Belarus on 8–11 September. The delegation was led by General David Muhoozi, Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces. The talks between the head of the Ugandan delegation and the Minister of the Belarusian State Authority for Military Industry, Roman Golovchenko, were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The parties gave a positive assessment to the Belarusian-Ugandan practical cooperation in the military-technical sphere. Roman Golovchenko said that the visit of the distinguished guest to Belarus can be seen as an opportunity to outline promising areas of mutually beneficial contacts in the military-technical sphere.
The parties reaffirmed their desire to further strengthen friendly relations and expressed confidence that, thanks to common efforts, bilateral military-technical ties will be further developed.
The Ugandan delegation visited a number of SAMI companies and defence enterprises where they learnt about their scientific and production potential and capabilities to provide services and produce military products.
