Belarus and Cuba Confirm Mutual Interest in Intensification of Military-Technical Cooperation
From 29 October to 2 November 2019, the 7th meeting of the joint Belarus-Cuba commission on military-technical cooperation took place in Havana (Cuba). The Belarusian delegation was headed by First Deputy Minister of the Belarusian State Authority for Military Industry (SAMI) Igor Demidenko.
During this event, the parties analysed the results of the implementation of agreements reached at the previous meeting, as well as discussed promising military-technical cooperation projects.
The head of the Belarusian delegation met with Cuban Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Army Cops General Leopoldo Cintra Frías and Chief of the General Staff, First Deputy Minister of the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Army Corps General Alvaro Lopez Miera. They analised bilateral contacts in the military-technical sphere.
The parties noted the high level of achieved cooperation and confirmed their interest in the further intensification of mutually beneficial military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Cuba.
The Belarusian delegation visited a number of Cuban defence enterprises.
Following the meeting, a protocol was signed.
