Belarus and China Intend to Intensify and Expand the Range of Military-Technical Cooperation Areas
In August 2021 in Minsk, in the framework of the third meeting of the joint working group of the Belarusian-Chinese сoordination committee for cooperation in armaments and military equipment, a meeting of SAMI Minister Dmitry Pantus with Major General Fan Jianjun, Head of the Equipment and Technology Cooperation Department of the Equipment Development Department, the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China, was held.
Participants noted the importance of military-technical cooperation in strengthening the strategic partnership, which has a strong political and economic basis and is developing on the principles of mutually beneficial trust. They expressed their assurance in the implementation of earlier achieved agreements and joint projects, as well as perspective action plans introduced by the parties during the working group meeting.
At the meeting, a high potential of the cooperation was noted, the need to intensify and expand the range of areas of military-technical cooperation was confirmed.
The forthcoming meeting of the Belarusian-Chinese coordination committee for cooperation in armaments and military equipment will be held in the form of videoconference in the fourth quarter of the current year.
