On 1 December, during the 22nd Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference Bakutel 2016, which took place in Baku and which is the largest in the Caspian region event in the field of telecommunications, AGAT-Control Systems signed a memorandum of understanding with the Data Processing Centre of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and High Technologies. The Data Processing Centre is one of Azerbaijan’s leading companies providing information services in the field of telecommunications.
The memorandum provides for the strengthening and development of cooperation in the field of innovative technologies and personnel training in the next five years.
In accordance with the memorandum, the parties will combine their capabilities, build necessary infrastructure to improve human resource capacity, implement joint innovative projects between the two countries and develop automated control systems.
The document was signed by Director of the Data Processing Centre Elnar Asadov and First Deputy Director of AGAT-Control Systems Dmitry Goryachko.
Bakutel 2016, which was held from 29 November to 2 December, attracted 200 companies from 18 countries. Nine countries – Austria, Belarus, Croatia, France, Iran, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Turkey – presented their leading companies, showcased projects that are innovative not only for Azerbaijan but for the entire Caspian region, as well as held presentations of ICT products and services at this year’s exhibition.
Amid a rapidly growing interest in Azerbaijan, the exhibition has made a significant contribution to the further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the participating countries, as well as to the development and implementation of new initiatives at the international and regional levels.
