Arms expo MILEX 2017 to showcase two Belarusian armored personnel carriers

An official presentation of Belarusian wheeled lightly armored vehicles of various modifications will take place during the eighth international arms and military technology expo MILEX 2017 in Minsk. A family of armored personnel carriers made by enterprises run by the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus and other Belarusian defense contractors will be rather well represented during MILEX 2017. OAO Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (Volat trademark) and OAO 140 Repair Plant will arrange a public presentation of the armored personnel carriers (APC) Cayman and MZKT-490100. Lightly armored vehicles are already batch produced in Belarus for various missions such as radio location, reconnaissance, fire missions, and battlefield personnel evacuation. For instance, OAO 140 Repair Plant has come up with five modifications of the Cayman APC. The armored personnel carrier can be fitted with two kinds of machine guns, a grenade launcher, satellite communication options, and a remote control module. The five modifications have been developed for the upcoming international armaments and military technology expo MILEX 2017.
