Almaty Hosts Meeting of National State Customers of CIS Interstate Radionavigation Programme till 2016 and 44th Radionavigation Interstate Council Meeting
A regular meeting of the national state customers of the CIS Interstate Radionavigation programme till 2016 and the 44th meeting of the Radionavigation Interstate Council, as well as a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Radionavigation Interstate Council were held from 24 to 26 June 2015 at the Institute of Space Technique and Technology in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The events were attended by representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and plenipotentiaries of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
Belarus was represented by Alexander Ivanov, an official of Goscomvoyenprom (Goscomvoyenprom is a state customer of the CIS Interstate Radionavigation Programme till 2016 (hereinafter – the Programme)).
During the three-day meeting the participants discussed and coordinated joint activities for 2015, as well as began planning their work for 2016 and beyond.
In addition, they discussed the harmonisation of a draft agreement on mutual protection of intellectual property that is created under the Programme. The participants outlined the ways of increasing the number of countries directly involved in the implementation of international programmes.
During the meeting the participants came up with a decision to prepare an appeal to the governments of the CIS member states concerning the intensification of the development of the new Interstate Radionavigation Programme.
The participants familiarised themselves with cutting-edge solutions of the Institute of Space Technique and Technology, shared their experience and identified promising areas of cooperation that are of interest to a wide range of companies in the CIS member states.
The next meeting of the national state customers of the CIS Interstate Radionavigation Programme till 2016 and the 45th meeting of the Interstate Radionavigation Council are to be held in November 2015 in Moscow, Russia.
