AGAT – Control Systems JSC to Help Defend State Border

On 20 August, AGAT – Control Systems JSC – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding and the Smorgon border group signed an agreement on cooperation in ensuring border security. According to experts, the document will help increase the efficiency of state border security using state-of-the art technologies and upgrading facilities of border service.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed the opportunities and prospects for further cooperation.
“An experiment on the use of the vehicle control and scanning system was conducted at Kotlovka checkpoint this year. The joint efforts will strengthen border security as a compound and integral part of the national security of Belarus,” said Colonel Maxim Butranets, head of the Smorgon border group.
Director of AGAT – Control Systems JSC Gennady Kazakov emphasised that today the company is closely cooperating with the Smorgon border group. The company also plans to establish cooperation with other territorial border service units.
AGAT – Control Systems JSC will assist in providing the Belarusian border guards with advanced equipment to effectively conduct their border security missions.
