A Course Toward Technological Independence
Experts at NIIEVM JSC have taken a significant step toward reducing dependence on foreign components by developing a proprietary electrical engineering solution to replace imported equivalents.
Specifically, the company has developed a sine-wave filter for the output circuits of AC frequency converters. The device converts the PWM output signal into a pure sine wave, removing harmful higher harmonics that cause energy losses and shorten equipment lifespan.
The sine-wave filter reduces the converter's adverse effects on the load, smoothes the output voltage of the PWM drive, maintains operation at a frequency of 400 Hz, and extends the permissible length of unshielded cable runs.
The filter has successfully passed a series of tests and has been delivered to the customer as part of an integrated solution manufactured by NIIEVM JSC. Operational performance has confirmed that this in-house development is effective and fully capable of replacing foreign alternatives.
