558th Aircraft Repair Plant: Prize Winner of the International Contest of Energy-Efficient and Resource-Saving Technologies

On 6 May, a ceremonial presentation of the diplomas to the winners of the 13th International Contest of Energy-Efficient and Resource-Saving Technologies and Equipment took place. It was held in the framework of the Belarusian Industrial Forum - 2016 by the Energy Efficiency Department.
The diplomas were given by the Deputy Chairman of the State Standardisation Committee, Director of the Energy Efficiency Department Mikhail Malashenko.
Summing up the results of the contest, Mikhail Malashenko noted that it had been those companies that really moved the economy forward that had taken part in the contest.
Due to them, the progress has been made in power saving and industrial production fields.
"The level of the projects, submitted for the contest, increases every year," said the director of the Energy Efficiency Department.
"It is good to know that permanent members of the contest present more and more advanced projects every year."
In the final, the jury considered twenty projects by businesses and research companies from Minsk, Zhodino, Smolevichi region, Brest, Baranovichi, Mogilev, Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, and Zhlobin and determined 12 winning projects in four categories.
In the Technology, Equipment, Tools, and Materials category, a project of the development team of the 558th Aircraft Repair Plant (Sergei Yurkevich, Teresa Polyakova, Ivan Vaschenko, Konstantin Andrienok, Nadezhda Ablazhei) was awarded a special diploma of II degree for the development of the technology of applying quality chromium plate on parts of titanium alloys.
The project was ranked second in this category.
The 558th Aircraft Repair Plant has won in the Belarusian Industrial Forum for the second time over the past few years.
In 2014, the company's innovators were announced the second in the contest for the invented and implemented technology of restoring inner surfaces of cylinders by laser cladding.
