Successful Testing of the DML-150S at Facilities of Gazprom Transgaz Kazan LLC

On 26–28 August 2026, specialists from JSC Peleng successfully conducted tests of the DML-150S laser scanning methane detector to locate gas leaks in gas distribution and consumption networks operated by Gazprom Transgaz Kazan LLC. The trials took place at distribution network sites in areas with both multi-storey blocks of flats and detached housing, as well as under heavy traffic conditions.

Simulated leaks with a flow rate of 20–30 litres per hour were created at the gas distribution sites—30 times smaller than those previously detected on main gas pipelines. Nonetheless, the device successfully recorded even these minor natural gas seepages without triggering false alarms from the exhaust emissions of vehicles fitted with functioning gas fuel systems.

The tests demonstrated the reliable performance of the DML-150S under these new operational conditions and confirmed its effectiveness in detecting faults across gas networks.

It should be noted that the system operates autonomously without requiring a connection to the host vehicle's on-board power supply and can be fitted to any type of vehicle. Over three hours of uninterrupted operation, power consumption amounted to just 34 per cent of the power supply's total capacity.
